The U.S. government alleges Cardinal Health (CAH) and CVS Caremark (CVS) were aware of high-volume orders of a prescription painkiller shipped to pharmacies in Florida, WSJ reports, in a case probing how much responsibility companies bear for a growing drug abuse problem. CAH failed to conduct on-site visits and often delivered more pills per month than its own limits allowed, the DEA says.
