Dish Network rallies after earnings, Charlie on deck

Dish Network (DISH) added 654K pay-TV subscriber in Q4, compared to 662K a year ago.

The company's broadband subscriber tally rose 13% Q/Q to 436K.

Yesterday, execs with DirecTV had to take on questions during their earnings call on the impact on the pay-TV sector of the Comcast-Time Warner Cable merger. Expect more of the same during Dish's CC, especially with CEO Charlie Ergen typically rather talkactive on the topic of a Dish-DirecTV combination.

DISH +3.4% premarket off a healthy EPS beat.
