MetLife to record loss of up to $390M on sale of U.K. unit


MetLife (MET) will book a loss of $350-390M in Q1on the sale of a U.K. annuity unit to Rothesay Life.

MetLife expects the deal to close in Q2. Financial terms of the transaction weren't provided.

    Glad my life insurance policy from Lifeant isn't a metlife policy. I don't foresee quite the same amount of dividend payment going to those holders as I'm gonna get ;). In all honestly though metlife is so big i doubt this one time charge will affect much.
