Perry Ellis warns of weaker than expected Q4 results, shares halted

Perry Ellis (PERY) says it expects below consensus FQ4 results; it sees FQ4 (Feb.) adjusted EPS of $0.02-$0.05 vs. $0.71 analyst consensus estimate and FQ4 revenue of ~$216M vs. $272M consensus, citing bad winter weather across much of the U.S. and a challenging consumer spending environment across its channels of distribution.

Says lower mall traffic contributed to a FQ4 comparable store sales decline of 4.8%, and many retailers delayed shipments of merchandise planned for January delivery to FQ1.

Issues downward FY 2015 guidance, seeing total revenues of $910M-$920M vs. $1.01B consensus.

Shares halted.
