Casino giants prep for Japan gambling

Legalized gambling in Japan could generate $40B in annual revenue, according to a rosy forecast from CLSA.

The figure is over 6X what Las Vegas churned up last year.

The legislation timetable in Japan is for the lower house to start debating a casino bill in late April before putting it up for a vote in front of the full parliament in June.

MGM Resorts (MGM -0.5%), Wynn Resorts (WYNN), and Caesars Entertainment (CZR +2.5%) are all looking for a strategic local partner in the region.

Lvs can afford from one years 2014 or 2015 Ebitda to leverage the whole Japanese casino downpayment by themselves for a 10 billion dollar casino. Which is 3x the cost of their Venetian or Parisian hotel.

Lvs return for the Parisian is projected to be repaid in 3 years. Caesars, MGM do not have as much understanding of the Asian marketplace, so require Asian partners. Wynn , in my opinion is perfect for Japan's one top scale facility for the cream clientele in the Japanese area

Melco , is good , Lvs is better and Wynn is the top end with the fourth casino in Osaka to be given to a combination of Genting/ MGM with Caesars looking from the outside in
