Riverbed slides; Nadella leaves board to focus on Microsoft

Three weeks after being named Microsoft's CEO, Satya Nadella has resigned from Riverbed's (RVBD -2.2%) board to focus on his new job.

Before being appointed CEO, Nadella was Microsoft's enterprise/cloud product chief. Riverbed and Microsoft have a long-standing partnership focused on optimizing the performance of SharePoint, Exchange, and Lync via Riverbed's Steelhead WAN optimization hardware and Stingray application delivery controllers.

Shares are 2% below Elliott Management's new $21/share offer price.
