Honda's production pace in Japan soars

Honda (HMC) reports global production volume rose 10.5% Y/Y in January to 378,718 units.

The automaker was boosted by a giant 65% increase in production inside of Japan during the month as it prepped to meet demand just ahead of a sales tax hike in the nation.

Production in China was up 37.5% during the period.
