More on Mattel's acquisition of Mega Brands

Mega Brands only has to pay Mattel (MAT +0.2%) a $12M termination fee if a superior bid comes down the road.

Last year, Mega Brands saw revenue of $405M as it sold products in over 100 different nations.

Though the company has a number of different brands, analysts see Mega Bloks as the key part of the deal for Mattel.

The construction play pattern is popular, universal and has one of the fastest growth rates over the past three years," notes Mattel CEO Bryan Stockton.
