CommonWealth raises questions over Zell's age, veracity

Responding to Sam Zell's CNBC appearance on Friday, CommonWealth REIT (CWH) President Adam Portnoy finds it "deeply troubling" Zell ("age 72") was unable to properly state how many public boards he is on. He's "over-boarded" says Portnoy, serving as Chairman on 4 public companies and 3 private ones.

In exchange for serving as front-man for Corvex/Related, says Portnoy, Zell has received a lucrative agreement which includes $17M in in-the-money options.

From Friday: "CommonWealth ... flat as a dead man's EKG," says Zell.
