Icahn Enterprises raises distribution 20%

  • In an annual letter of his own Carl Icahn announces a boost in the annual distribution for Icahn Enterprises (IEP) to $6 per unit from $5.
  • "Our history demonstrates that the greatest opportunity to make money for our unitholders is to gain control of badly managed companies with undervalued assets ... There are a number of valuable jewels in many of America’s companies today, unfortunately buried under mediocre management and corporate bureaucracy."
