CEO Gregg W. Steinhafel should be fired as well. He has no honor, being half dishonest about the original breach, even when security experts had already said it was more widespread, taking the road of denial, before finally being more forthcoming 30 days later as Wall Street requires transparency. How many days did he let customers use their credit cards knowing they had a problem? He also understaffed his customer service team making it impossible for people to cancel their Red Cards for at least a week. Why should shareholders feel he's capable of leading them?

You really think CEO of such a large company has anything to do with staffing? Maybe he interviews the candidates for his customer service team as well?

supersaverguy - It is very possible that Mr. Steinhafel couldn't say anything right away due to a federal investigation going on. Customer service departments of all companies aren't set up to handle a crisis like the one TGT just went through. If TGT missed earnings because they had an overstaffed customer service department, my guess is you would be complaining about that too.

    Think first, then write.

The Canada rollout has been a complete joke. This management team needs to be replaced and today was the first step.
