Initial Jobless Claims:  -26K to 323K vs. 338K consensus, 334K prior revised (349K prior).

Continuing claims -8K to 2.91M.

    Oh Dang, last week I forecasted 345k for this week (at least I was close to consensus). Hmm....look at that revision...perhaps next week's revision will be up from the 323k.

     

    OK, I am (STILL) learning. Next week, I'll forecast initial claims at 330,000 (pick middle of the road).

    Decent report as long as we have now accepted +300,000 new claims is ok. Interesting historically if you are trend fan.

    Notice how the bottoms all look the same....looks like we have already hit this cycles bottom.
