BP says more regulators ask for details after EU price probe

More from BP's annual report: Regulators in Asia have joined European and U.S. agencies investigating potential manipulation of oil prices.

BP says the Japanese Fair Trade Commission sent an "initial request for information" in June 2013, and the Korea Fair Trade Commission "initiated an investigation" in December.

In addition, BP says it is producing documents to the U.S. FTC following a June 2013 request for price-reporting documents and to the CFTC after a Jan. 2014 request.

European Union regulators have been looking since mid-2013 into whether big oil companies including BP, Statoil and Shell manipulated oil price benchmarks.
