NRF: Retail imports forecast to be strong in March

The National Retail Federation says import volume at retail container ports is forecast to rise 12.4% Y/Y in March as companies begin to stock up for the spring and summer selling seasons.

Part of the increase is to make up for a slow February delivery period.

In general, retailers which went light on stocking for this winter fared better due to the soft traffic patterns seen across the sector.
