A couple of dividend hikes in mREIT sector


This just in: At least some mortgage REITs are boosting dividends. Both Ellington Residential and Capstead Mortgage are up more than 1% after each lifted their quarterly payout by 10%.

    mREIT's also have different drivers than regular stocks providing good diversification as part of an overall portfolio. SPY has a negative correlation to either REM or MORL.
