SolarCity teams with CA developer to offer solar in new homes

KirE Builders and SolarCity (SCTY) partner to offer solar power for all homes in KirE's Black Canyon Estates opening this weekend, and Vista Sereno Estates opening this summer. Solar will be standard Black Canyon and as an option in Vista Sereno.

"At KirE Builders, we have a twist on the American dream - to own a home with clean, affordable solar power," says the builder's president, Josh Santa.

Solar will be the new marble counter tops. It will be what everyone wants/expects in certain regions of the country, but not on a lease basis but 1 time price as part of the cost of the new home.

Genoregrets, to answer your question is because developers and builders are not trying to save you or anyone money, but they are trying to put more profits in their pockets, that's why !

they're trying to make the banker money too. Just like the car dealer.
"Once those prices start falling" (if not collapsing) "then that no longer happens."

You'll need a lot more than solar panels to start "movin' the title."

They don't say if they will be solar leases or owned by the homeowner.

I wouldn't touch it if I couldn't own it, didn't we learn what GM did in 1999 to those poor unsuspecting Electric Vehicle (EV) leases?
GM crushed those cars, even though those people protested, but they crushed them anyway, because they were leased and didn't own them, just in case you don't remember. Mean........Bas#%t@#s....
