Hyundai apologizes for mileage gaffe

Hyundai (HYMLF) cuts the EPA rating in its new Sonata model to 28.5 mpg after originally citing a higher figure.

The automaker's brand reputation with consumers has been stung by reliability issues over mileage claims.

The U.S. and South Korea are the target markets of the Sonata.
