Sales and margins shrink at Vera Bradley

Vera Bradley (VRA) reports comparable-store sales fell 10.2% during FQ4.

E-commerce sales were off 7.2% for the period, a drop that can't be easily pinned on severe winter weather.

The company's gross profit rate fell 500 bps to 52.9% due to heavy inventory write-downs.

Guidance for FQ1 EPS is $0.11-$0.13 vs. $0.23 consensus.

Shares resume trading at 8:30 EST.
