Art Cashin turns his eye to oil, noting Rich Yamarone's observation that every U.S. recession since 1971 has been proceeded by an advance in the price. Yet even in light of something this obvious the repubs are resistent to subsidizing other forms of energy. Just last night on the debate the GOP bashed this administrations blocking of the pipeline. 1 pipeline, 10 pipelines, 100 pipelines are not the answer and never will be. There has to be an alternative and I will vote every time to put tax dollars towards it. Until there is healthy competition in the energy/transportation field this will always be the result.
