Forecast for Hyundai Sonata sales falls below estimates

Hyundai (HYMLF) forecasts it will sell 228K new Sonatas vehicles this year - a mark which is below the 245K units that analysts predicted.

The automaker sees seeing 63K Sonatas in South Korea.

The Sonata faces stiff competition in the U.S. from the Toyota Camry and Honda Accord.
