Testy times for Delphi Automotive amid GM ignition switch probe

Delphi Automotive (DLPH -0.2%) could face serious legal issues if it's found liable for some of the problems with ignition switches in certain GM vehicles.

The company does have a backstop due to a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing which guards it from some older product liability, but attorneys are likely to try to circumvent that protection.
