Asia shares tilt lower

Asian stocks trade flat-to-lower following strong gains yesterday and absent any major new catalysts. Ongoing concerns about the Ukraine crisis and the Chinese economy continue to affect sentiment.

Any selling could also reflect the unwinding of positions ahead of the end of the quarter.

"There's nowhere to put money at this point," says fixed-income strategist Tohru Yamamoto. "Investors are generally upbeat on the U.S. but they want to see more evidence that the weakness in some of the recent data is due to a bad weather."

Japan -0.4%, Hong Kong -0.6%, China +0.05%, India +0.05%.
