Panera -2.1% AH after affirming guidance, holding off on 2015 outlook


Panera (PNRA) uses its investor day (webcast) to affirm a Q1 forecast for EPS of $1.49-$1.55 (consensus is at $1.52), and a full-year forecast for EPS of $6.80-$7.05 (consensus is at $6.95). The company also reiterates guidance for 2%-4% 2014 company-owned same-store sales growth. (PR)

However, citing the potential for "choppy earnings growth" thanks to near-term investments, Panera is declining to provide 2015 guidance.The company adds these investments "may depress both margins and earnings growth in fiscal 2014 and 2015."
