LyondellBasell receives offer for mothballed French refinery

Oil products trading company Sotragem says it made an offer to buy LyondellBasell's (LYB -0.7%) mothballed Berre refinery in France.

Sotragem doesn't specify the amount of the offer, but French industry minister Arnaud Montebourg says it included plans for €400M ($551M) of investment in the plant over three years.

LYB shut the refinery in Jan. 2012 after failing to find a buyer.
