Google chairman's pay more than doubles

  • Eric Schmidt's compensation more than doubled to $19.3M in 2013, with the Google chairman receiving a $1.25M salary and a $6M bonus. Schmidt also received $11.4M in stock to correct an error in the issuance of a 2011 award. In February, Schmidt received $100M in equity that will vest over four years.
  • However, the pay of Chief Business Officer Nikesh Arora, CFO Patrick Pichette and Chief Legal Officer David Drummond fell sharply, as Google usually only gives option awards and non-equity incentive plans to senior management in even-numbered years.
