Obamacare could hit 7M goal as deadline looms

Two million people visited the government's HealthCare.gov Web site ahead of tonight's deadline to sign up for Obamacare coverage for 2015. Those who don't could face penalties of up to 1% of their annual income.

Around 6M had enrolled as of March 27 - although not necessarily paid - meaning that the White House could reach its original goal of signing up 7M to Obamacare by the end of today.

Last week, the government extended the deadline, saying it would enroll anybody who began the process before witching hour tonight.

Couldn't some of the increased interest in enrolling be explained by the fact that the government extended the deadline by a year or two for a lot of businesses to offer health insurance, so that a lot of employees who were expecting to get health insurance through their business found themselves having to get individual plans instead?

I am not totally clear on this but often we hear that many of the signups get "assistance"

    That means Medicaid right?

That means our tax dollars right?

That means government funded insurance right?

That means government funded healthcare right?

That means socialized medical care right?

    How can I get some?
