Asian stocks mainly rise

Asian stocks mostly rise, ending what's been a tough quarter for some bourses on a high amid hopes that China will launch fresh stimulus in order to stabilize economic growth. However, the Shanghai composite falls 0.4%.

The Nikkei gains 0.9%, although the index suffered its worst quarter in two years following a 57% jump in 2013.

Elsewhere in Asia, Hong Kong +0.2%, India flat.
