Frozen cracks top ten of all-time box office earners


Frozen became the top animated movie of all-time and now ranks number ten on the list of all-time box office earners.

The film has brought in $398.4M domestically and $674M internationally for a total haul of $1.072B.

Sales in China have been exceptionally strong which is a nice tie-in with Disney (DIS +1%) looking to build up its franchises in advance of the opening of Shanghai Disney.

    upside surprise is sure to be apparent in the coming quarters for merch and future sales outside of theater tickets

    Talk of Frozen becoming a Broadway show. Seems like it would make mega-bucks as the youngsters who went to the movies would be theatre goers in years to come. I am certain my daughter would be a buyer of musical tickets. Maybe she can take me? :)

     

    DVD/Blueray sales will be huge too.

     

    Chalk up another winner for (DIS).
