New recall action from GM

  • General Motors (GM) will recall 1.3M additional vehicles to address an issue with power steering, according to reports.
  • Some older Chevrolet Malibu, Chevrolet Cobalt, Saturn Aura, and Pontiac G6 vehicles are included in the total.
  • GM expects to take a charge of close to $750M in Q1 to cover many of the costs of recall repairs. The tally includes a previously disclosed $300M charge for other safety actions announced in March and the ignition switch recall.

To-day another day towards the road to bankruptcy?

Previously I referred to GM's "problems" as a can of worms.

The tsunami of bad news include more models, different parts + additional "surprises".

Even a $20 GM appears wildly overpriced.
