Record quarter for originations for Prosepct

Prospect Capital (PSEC +0.1%) closed a record $1.3B in deals in Q1 - this in a quarter where more than one BDC said it was pulling back amid "frothy" conditions.

Today's deal is $279M of first-lien senior secured debt and equity in Allentown, PA's Harbortouch Payments

    Don't get cocky PSEC. Just keep those steady monthlies rolling in.

    (with those tiny, tiny divvy increases you do to tease us -- but, what the hell, I'll take 'em :) )

    Hats off to a HUGE Q. Adding a Point of Sale processor at a time when mobile payments are growing exponentially should add some nice returns to psec shareholders.

    What do we expect ROI to be with Harbortouch

    Those multi-decimal placement divi's screw with my calculations.. No complaining mind you. I just am off by a few pennies every month.

    I hold PSEC because it is such a desireable stock at this time;

    - low beta
    - double digit dividend

    I bought on "speculation" after the div cut and transition to MoPay, based on the re-org plan put forth by mgmnt. My position .. and dividend stream... grows by 10+%/ annum now. For me this a diversification position from my CCC stocks that grow a lower dividend and provide capital appreciation. My goal is to retire in 7 yrs and live off dividends only.

    Monitoring closely, I so far am confident PSEC will still be part of the mix.
