wish I had had the courage to do that! my nails are bitten to the quick. but it didn't make sense for Mannkind to be rejected when it had been taken seriously enough to be sent back for some tweaking. my heart goes out to those with huge positions - THERE WILL BE BEER TONIGHT!!! I bought in near the high, then nibbled and nibbled, figuring, when it got to $3.95, that it must go up soon - like the little boy digging in the stable 'there must be a pony here!' enjoy your ponies, ladies and gents! well done, the longs and the long analysts...

There's still FDA approval which should send it above $10. I see it hit mid 9s tomorrow.

cut your position by half and protect some gains! At least I would. I'm asking myself how I was stupid enough no to speculate on this even with options, maybe a straddle or a modest amount of calls...I feel like an idiot.

Don't feel bad, I sold half yesterday because some F-wad hack wrote a trash piece on it, and I fell for it after holding for 4-5 months.

Options were so pricy I was selling puts. I sold the $4 (Jan 2015) put yesterday for $1.8. Figured even if approval was delayed I could live with owning more at $2.2 basis.

That is really too bad. This is what really gets me about these so called analysts. They victimize small investors that simply do not have the time to do the research. They take advantage of that spreading their FUD.

Well I have had this stock since 2008 and I think it is going to finally pay off. I have a fair amount (60,000 shares) at least a fair amount for me. I know people that have many times what I have and have been in it even longer. This is a day of celebration for certain.

Feel good about keeping half you position. You could have sold it all.

Sorry to hear. That bs article threw a scare into anyone who was ticker watching. It probably set off that are the insiders selling? What do they know? Alarm

I would have likely taken more shares if I had more powder. At least we had positions. How many people liquidated before and will jump in now. Ahhhhh the stock market.

I like the longterm viability of the technosphere technology.

    Thank you Al Mann

On the edge of my seat through the AdCom blogs. I don't have diabetes, but I am at risk and my grandmother died from the disease. I also invested in MannKind because of the science. It's been a good day all around!

Wow. Are you for real. That is really risky. I would never put all my eggs in one baske like that. I would not recommend doing that again. That is the same problem with gambling, if you win big you think you can do it again and again and eventually you lose. Granted DD on stocks puts the odds in your favor unlike gambling.

I own 8 contracts of the june 2014 $5 call with a average price of $2.04, I plan on holding onto them till the beginning of june and then I will call those shares :)

It was just a little gamble i took, the most I could lose is $1625.

Gonna be the mother of short squeezes in 2014 ✌

Even the professional shorts were trapped by the Adcom which looked so negative for getting approval. Longs should now listen to some sonata music and watch hungry shorts screaming for the Mannkind shares.

Is this a common event. Where shorts try to discourage retail investors? I follow Seeking Alpha and read every article. At one point I thought Mannkind could be a complete fraud if half of what the critics said was correct. But I held because someone suggested that the people bad mouthing the inhaler all held short positions. Glad I held on.

No one who researched Alfred Mann's record and heard him discuss Afrezza at conferences with intelligence that allayed any fears that his age was getting to him, could consider this stock a fraud.

He has been at the forefront of two other major development projects that truly make dramatic improvements of people's health, the first effective insulin pump and the cochlear implant. His contributions are unlike those of 98% of the biotech firms profiting off the sick who sell products that barely do anything, cost a fortune, and have side effects worse than the disease they treat.

It is because of his work with the insulin pump that he understands how important it is to have an ultra fast insulin on the market.

Very happy I grabbed those $5 Aug Calls yesterday to supplement my smallish long-position. I suppose the next decision is how long to hold? Where does the stock go in 6 months? In a year? In 5 years? Worth holding for that long? When I look at Microsoft in 1990 and what $3k then would mean now it's painful.

Thanks to all who have contributed by way of reserach on MNKD, both long and short on this website. I am thankful for comments to the articles. In some cases, the comments were more educative than the article itsef. Congratulation to all those who have been involved in Afreeza to bring this product to this state. I am happy to see this investment on a growth trajectory. I am also pleased there is another via option for diabetic patients.
