SunCoke Energy sees 10% drop in Q1 domestic coke production

SunCoke Energy (SXC +0.3%) says it expects Q1 domestic coke production of 944K tons, down ~10% from the prior-year quarter, mostly reflecting ~64K tons of lower production at its Indiana Harbor facility due to severe winter weather and the significant refurbishment effort underway at the plant.

SunCoke Partners (SXCP) says preliminary Q1 coke production at the Haverhill and Middletown facilities totaled 414K tons, down from 442K tons in Q1 2013, also reflecting the impact of severe winter weather.
