- As tipped one week ago, Bank of America (BAC +0.1%) becomes the latest lender to settle with the CFPB over credit cards, agreeing to pay nearly $800M in fines and refunds to close out charges it misleadingly pushed customers into paying for add-on products like identity-theft protection and debt cancellation, reports the WSJ. BofA becomes the 5th credit card provider since 2012 to pay up over these sorts of allegations.
