Claims are down, import price pressure is up and if we would use the right metric to measure inflation we would see plenty of reason for the FED to act quick on raising rates.

We have to first see if there is any wage pressure - negative last reading.

I think companies are more comfortable with keeping the good people they have, but I think hiring is never going to return to its glory days.

Glory days of hundreds of thousands of real estate agents, loan services, bankers and millions of home builders to goose the housing bubble? You want them bank driving their Mercedes up and down the streets and freeways? Remember the near $5 gas prices?

Wait for the revision. BLS is now a political tool. Jack Welsh was right.

Just for laughs let's see if they move up and give back some of the 32K. If the trend is correct they should stay at 32 or even tweek down below 300k. And continuing should stay close to -62. If it goes up ( less negative) and we go back over 300, I would say hummm.

Market won't like it, as it means eventual wage and benefit increase pressure. Companies like the current situation, with employers in most cases holding all the cards, and there are too many job seekers for most decent jobs.
