Infosys CEO to retire by early next year

India's Infosys (INFY) has appointed headhunter Egon Zehnder to help it look for a new CEO to replace S.D. Shibulal, who plans top retire by January next year.

The news follows a series of executive departures after the return of co-founder Narayana Murthy as Chairman last June. In March, Murthy said he wasn't "very happy" with Infosys' performance over last two years.

The top internal candidates for the CEO job include company President B G Srinivas.

Infosys shares closed +1.15% in Bombay.

The top, indeed the ONLY candidate, is Rohan Murthy, son of Chairman Narayana Murthy. All else is eyewash. Narayana Murthy has forced out every competent person from the top ranks of Infosys management to ensure that his son, who has zero qualifications for the job, is appointed CEO.
