Hanging in near flat through the overnight and premarket sessions, stock index futures turn decidedly south, the S&P 500 (SPY) -0.5% and Nasdaq 100 (QQQ) -0.7%. Not helping is a 3.7% decline in JPMorgan after a big earnings miss.

Leading the decline in Europe is Germany's Dax, -1.6%.

The 10-year Treasury yield falls to its lowest level of the year, off three basis points to 2.62%. TLT +0.6%
