Ericsson's strategy chief leaving

Douglas Gilstrap, Ericsson's (ERIC -2.7%) global head of strategy, is resigning, effective Aug. 1. The mobile infrastructure giant will begin a search for a replacement.

Gilstrap has been Ericsson's strategy chief since 2009, and played a key role in the company's M&A efforts and the dissolving of its ST-Ericsson JV.

News of his departure comes ahead of Ericsson's April 23 Q1 report.
