Scotiabank shifts lines of command as COO retires

Sabi Marwah is stepping down from the COO post at Scotiabank (BNS) on May 30 after a 35-year history at the bank. Alongside his retirement is a "realignment of key executive reporting relationships," with CFO Sean McGuckin assuming expanded responsibility and reporting directly to CEO Brian Porter.

Also now reporting directly to the company chief are the bank's General Counsel, Treasurer, technology head, and Chief Auditor.
