I'm a retired person who had worked most of my career life in the oil & gas, petroleum, chemicals, nuclear, energy, aerospace, health care construction including high rise buildings. I had been investing in the stock market when MSFT was first conceived. My interest are focused on high tech and advancement of energy development for the future. Technology comes and go as it reached it peak of usage then it becomes obsolete, fade and die as new development comes in that replaces the old ones. In a long couple of years our energy started with coal, followed by fossil oil and as the supply begins to dwindle and scarcity and cost of finding it, the world rushes to come up with new ideas in supporting its replacement. Coal consumption becomes a problem for our environment hat is blamed to cause global warming. A search for new energy sources is ongoing and we utilized Nuclear energy, renewable energy in the form of solar and wind and there a lot more going on such as harnessing the sun heat energy absorbed by the ocean and big lakes. The human brain has no limits. All of our needs are all around us it's just a matter of expanding our knowledge and come out with an idea that works applying the principle of Science. I do believed that whoever comes up with new useful ideas that works economically will rip off the profit. Investing in stock market requires common sense and accurately forecasting the demand of products and services. Investors does not invest on institutions that produce products and services with falling market demands. Invest in for the future but do it wisely.
