WSJ: GIP considering sale of Ruby Pipeline stake

Global Infrastructure Partners currently owns 50% of Ruby Pipeline, with Kinder Morgan (KMI +0.8%) owning the other half, though KInder is slated to sell its stake to El Paso Pipeline Partners (EPB +0.9%).

KMI, EPB both report Q1 results tonight.

    I thought KMI owned all of Ruby, I was wrong.

    Thinking that sale may go quite a ways toward funding future development programs that KMI has referenced.


    That would shoot a big hole in all of theories/worries of KMI having increased costs of funding future projects.


    As the old saying goes - cash is usually a pretty good way to pay .


    Wondering what half of Ruby would bring??
