Skechers gains after Keflezighi wins Boston Marathon

Skechers' (SKX) 1.9% gain today is attributed to the Boston Marathon victory by Meb Keflezighi, the U.S. runner who endorses its shoes and the first American man to win the race since 1983.

SKX calls Keflezighi's win "a huge leap forward for the entire Skechers performance division, the entire brand as a whole."

The women's race in Boston was won by Kenyan Rita Jeptoo, wearing Nike (NKE) shoes.

That is an absurd reason to buy this stock. Will you sell it if SKX shoes do not win another Marathon all year?????

Rubbish. SKX shoes are cheap knock-off of someone else's footwear. Always has been and still are.
