NTHSA keeps an eye on GM-related mishaps

The NHTSA is investigating a report that a 2014 Chevrolet Impala's automatic braking system engaged itself when the vehicle was going 40 mph to cause a crash.

Though there has only been one owner to report on the issue, the agency is likely to stay on top of General Motors (GM) with its approach to the ignition switch recall being criticized.

    Re-iterate SWAP recommendation:
    SELL GM recent price 34
    BUY SDRL recent price 33

    With SDRL we get
    >better management
    >untainted by scandal
    >much higher dividend yield
    >lower PER
    >an undisputed leader in an exciting energy arena = deep sea drilling
    >predictable cash flow for the next 18 months or more.
    >a flotilla of related outfits, 3 with NYSE listings.

SDRL has its head-aches but they pale in comparison with GM's.
See for your self = Do your own research +
per chance find more reasons to follow my reco.

Stay tuned. I'll revisit this periodically for the rest of this year.

My previous verifiable SWAP reco was =
SELL i share RIMM for 3 shares of SDRL
when RIMM, over 100, was dangerously over priced (like say AMZN to-day). Much sooner than I expected, RIMM nosedived = not even a name change to the more glamorous Blackberry prevented the stock from sinking into the single digits = where it is wallowing to this day.

The Defect de Jour at this crumpling motorcar company? Now you can be impaled in your Impala, full force braking at 40 mph clear out of the blue!

General Motors, where "NO Quality Is Job One"

Seems every passing day erodes the potential market share for GM, and dims its prospects for investors. Oh wait, maybe that newly announced GM Vice President of Product Integrity can turn things around fast. You think? On the other hand the products have no integrity because the Management and engineers have no integrity.
