Fixed mortgage rates tick higher, Freddie Mac says

The average rate for a 30-year fixed-rate mortgage rose to 4.33% from 4.27% in the prior week, according to Freddie Mac's latest weekly survey; a year ago, the 30-year rate was at 3.40%.

The average rate for the 15-year fixed-rate mortgage rose to 3.39% from 3.33% in the prior week; a year ago, the 15-year rate was 2.61%.
