Williams natural gas plant still burning two days after explosion

  • Williams Co.'s (WMB, WPZ) natural gas processing plant in Wyoming continues to burn, two days after an explosion disrupted supplies at the key Rockies hub.
  • Pipelines that supply the facility and those that move processed natural gas and natural gas liquids away from the plant remain shut, interrupting nearly 1B cf/day of output, or ~25% of daily supply at the plant.
  • The hub moves 4B-5B cf/day of natural gas at this time of year, mostly to Western states.
