BGR leaks the specs for Samsung's (SSNLF.PK) Galaxy S III smartphone, the successor to its very popular Galaxy S II. The device's rumored featured set - a quad-core processor, 4.8-inch 1080p display, 4G support, and ceramic case - leaves Samsung well-positioned to maintain its leadership position in the high-end Android market. Samsung is also introducing its Galaxy Beam Android phone, which has a built-in projector.

A quick calculation shows that Samsung needs a display that can do 459ppi to achieve 1080p native on 4.8" screen. (iPhone 4/4S is only 330ppi).

    Goodluck with manufacturing that screen.

720p on 4.8" (306ppi) sounds way more plausible.
