Williams Partners plans to restart most of Opal facility after shutdown

  • Williams Partners (WPZ +0.2%) says it is developing preliminary plans to bring most of its gas processing facility near Opal, Wyo., back into service, after it shut down the site last week due to a fire.
  • WPZ says its visual inspection of the damage area indicates there was a release of natural gas that was then ignited; the investigation will focus on the cause of the release and source of ignition.
  • WPZ is ~66% owned by Williams Cos. (WMB +0.5%).
