Mozilla, which has convinced LG to make a smartphone featuring its Boot to Gecko (B2G) OS, today announces Telefonica (TEF) and Deutsche Telekom (DTEGY.PK) are also supporting the platform. Telefonica, which has nearly half its customers in Latin America, where smartphone penetration rates are relatively low, says a B2G phone in development will be far cheaper than the iPhone (though the same holds for many Android phones).
