Honda to wait and see in Thailand

Honda (HMC +0.6%) says it will delay plans to build a $530M automobile manufacturing plant in Thailand as it waits for the political turmoil in the region to work itself out.

The automaker will hold off for at least six months on its project to see if automobile demand increases again in the nation.

Some analysts project auto sales in Thailand will drop 25% this year.
