FuelCell Energy to build 5.6 MW for Connecticut utility

FuelCell Energy (FCEL +4.2%) is higher today after winning a contract to build and operate two 2.8 MW power plants in Connecticut for UIL Holdings' (UIL) United Illuminating.

FCEL says one plant, on an unused landfill in Bridgeport, also will include ~5 MW of a solar photovoltaic system, and a second site will be determined in 30 days.

The plants will be completed next year; financial terms were not disclosed.

I am long $FCEL with 19,000 shares, and I would love nothing better than for the price to explode higher. But I am puzzled when I see posts projecting $10 by the end of the year. Is there any basis for such projections? How did we arrive at $10 by year's end?

@FChopeful. I'm long FCEL and HYSR. Eventually every municipality is going to want a power plant at their water treatment plants. And with Hyper Solar technology they can produce Hydrogen to generate power and USE bio gas. At least that's what I'm thinking. They also have royalty contract with a South Korean company. Asia and Africa is thirsty for power. This technology is clean and fast to start producing power.

I too have fuel cell stock, and like the idea they have of power generation sites. This seems to me to be a much better use of fuel cells. Since Korea ,Japan and china will install these units on new apartment bulidings after 2015.
