Texas Instruments' (TXN) OMAP processor line hasn't received as much ink in 2012 as Nvidia's (NVDA) Tegra and Qualcomm's (QCOM) Snapdragon, but TI narrowed the gap a bit today by highlighting the performance and low power consumption of its new OMAP 5 line, and announcing design wins with iRobot and Harman. Last year, the OMAP 4 was designed into the Kindle Fire and the Galaxy Nexus.
